courthouse Jan. 25. Thirty-six of
the thirty-nine- precinct commit-
icemen were present. The post-
master for Belfair was selected.

legislation and explained the posi-
tion of the 45 loyal democrats.
The Democratic Nine County

An important item of business
was the unanimous adoption of a
resolution criticizing Rep. Chet
King of Pacific County for his ac-
tion in joining with the six dis-
sident Democrats in forming the
oalition. The resolution ousted
him from taking part in the Nine
County League.

KAMILCHE.- -The community
and family of Mrs. Charles (Bry-
anna J Ulrich were shocked and
saddened to hear of her death
from a heart attack on Thursday
of last week in Palm Springs,
Calif. Bryanna Taylor, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Taylor was
born and raised in the Kamilche
area and lived at Kamilche Point
in the summers and spent the
winters at Palm Springs, Calif.
Besides the husband the immediate
family are three sisters, Esther
Reinsdorff, Seattle; Flora Burqu-
hart, Oakland. Calif., and Doris
Holliday, Long Beach, Calif.; four
brothers, Orville and Chester Tay-
lor, Kamilche; Rusco Taylor, Eat-
onville, and Allen Taylor, Palm
Springs, Calif., also two daugh-
ters Jeanette Barrit. Hayward,
Calif. and Charlene Hulsey, Both-
ell. and seven grandchildren. Sym-
pathy is extended to all the fam-
ily.
The second death of a Kamilehe-
its occurred on Friday when
Robert Lee Downey was suddenly
taken by a heart attack. Mr.
Downey lived in Shelton for eleven
years prior to living in this
neighborhood for the past 16
months. Besides Mrs. Downey he
leaves two sisters and two broth-
ers and two daughters. Weulcia M.
Wilkens. Suquamish. and Mary
Etta Marrone, Tacoma. and eight
grandchildren. Services will be
held Tnesday morning at St. Ed-
wards Catholic church with burial
in the Calvary cemetery in Ta-
come.
Harold Earl Wiles, son of Mrs.
Bertha Taylor, left Monday for
King Salmon, Alaska. ,For a num-
ber of years Mr. and Mrs. Wiles
have lived in New Hampshire.
Mrs. Wiles and son will spend
some time visiting here before
joining her husband in Alaska..
MR. AND MRS. Walt Mespile
of Tacoma visited ovenlight with
the Mike Krise family, Sunday
evening.
Kamilche Valley school basket-
ball team played two games last
week, one on Wednesday night
with Shelton 7th grade, which
game they lost 30 to 27, on Friday
they played Lower Skokomish
school and wQn.the game 33 to 14.
Mike and Barney Lambert had
