Blessing an
znstrument
of life'
The Rev. Joe Mikel of St. David
of Wales Episcopal Church in
Shelton on Friday evening sprinkles
holy water on the new stove at
Community Lifeline, which provided
about 25,000 free meals to people
in need in 2013. The old unit was
unreliable, and the new stove comes
courtesy of $7,000 in donations and
a discounted price from Olympic
Food Equipment in Tumwater.
The blessing called the stove "an
instrument of life, health and food
that sustains men, women and
children; our neighbors on the way
... May this stove humbly remind all
of us of the ministry of feeding our
neighbors."
