The subject property is located in the City of Shel-
ton, Washington on the Oakland Bay waterfront
within the Port of Shelton Oakland Bay Marina.
Physical Address of the Marina is 701 East Pine
Street, Assessor's Parcel Numbers 32020-57-
06006, 32017-51-02006, and 32017-51-02002.
The proposal would take place within an existing
16' x 36' boathouse located within space number
76 of the Marina. The Squaxin Island Tribe pro-
poses to purchase an existing boathouse, located
in slip number 76 within the Port of Shelton Oak-
land Bay Marina, and grow oyster and clam seed
in a floating nursery for later transplant into off-site
growing beds. Required Permits: City permits in-
clude a Shoreline Substantial Development Per-
mit, Shoreline Conditional Use Permit, and SEPA
threshold determination. A public hearing is re-
quired for the proposal and will be held on Mon-
day March 24, 2014 Environmental Review: The
City has reviewed the proposed project for prob-
able adverse environmental impacts and expects
to issue a Determination of Non-Significance
(DNS) for this project. The optional DNS process
contained in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This
may be your only opportunity to comment on the
environmental impacts of the proposed project.
Agencies, tribes, and the public are encouraged
to review and comment on the proposed project
and its probable environmental impacts. The City
of Shelton has determined that potential impacts
that may result from the project are addressed
by the design of the project and/or the City of
Shelton Municipal Code and Shoreline Master
Program that no additional mitigation is required.
Environmental Documents Available for Review at
the City of Shelton Civic Center at the address
below: SEPA Checklist, Shoreline Permit Applica-
