White of Olympia at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. He was 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Kacelee Marie Kacelee Marie, a girl, was born Feb. 22, 2014, to Jessica Escoto and Cody Wright of Shelton. She was 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long. Her grandpar- ents are Shawna Miller hnd Kev- in Wright of Shelton; her great- grandmother is Maxine Giles of Shelton. Theater club offers scholarship. STAFF REPORT news@masoncoun com The Harstine Island Theatre Club will award a $500 scholar- ship this year. Scholarship application pack- ets are available at Shelton, North Mason, and Mary M. Knight high schools, as well as Olympic Col- lege. They are also available at Shelton, Hoodsport and North Mason branches of the Timber- land Library. Completed applications are due Aug. 1 and can be mailed to the Scholarship Committee Harstine Island Theatre Club, in care of Dee Ann Meacham, 12 E. Wilson Road, Shelton, WA 98584. Notification of the scholarship is usually made by Aug. 15. The recipient will receive funds when the first quarter of college work is completed. Eligible applicants must be high school graduates residing in Mason County who are enrolled full time in an accredited college, university or school of theater arts or related field. The scholarship committee will review the previous training of all applicants, as well as the experi- ence in theater acts or related ar- eas of study. continued from page A-22 Robert Lightbody Robert Lightbody, 79, an 8-year resident of Shelton, died March 28, 2014, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. Hewas born July 8, 1934, to Everett and Norma (Bach) Light- body in Tumwater. Robert served in the Navy from June 1951 to October 1978. He was a senior chief petty officer upon discharge. He married Lorraine Lightbody on Jan. 16, 1962, in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Robert worked as a radio operator on Navy seaplanes and as a field service technician for Varian and Associ- ates. He enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He is survived by wife, Lorraine; sons Ron (Vicki) Lightbody and Rob (Erica) Light- body; grandchildren Alora, Ryan, April, Russell, Breanna and Sean; and great-grand- children Cooper, Wyatt and Myles. He was preceded in death by his parents A memorial was April 7 at Mills and Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater. He was buried at Ta- homa National Veter- ans Cemetary in Kent. Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Donald Fawver Donald LaVern Fawver Sr., 81, a resi- dent of Hoodsport, died April 6, 2014, at home. He was born July 27, 1932, in Waterville to Ivan Fawver and Mary Mae Huhta. He served in the Ko- rean War from 1949 to 1951 and was wounded. He was a private on discharge. Donald married Betty Fawver on May 20, 1992, in Hood- sport. He had many occupations, including working in electronics. He also was a build- ing inspector in Ma- son County, and later served as the director of the county's plan- ning department. He was a talented woodworker and car- penter. He belonged to Disabled American Veterans, the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Scot- tish Rites, Mason Coun- ty Grange and other organizations. He is survived by children Shirley Tucker of Dalles, Ore., Donald Fawver Jr. of Forks and David Fawver of Olympia; grandchildren Don III, Heather, Bonita, Roseanne, Christyn, Nicole and Cody; and a number of great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Andy Huhta; and brother William Fawver. A celebration of life for close friends and family will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 19 at his home in Hoodsport. Memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Ore. No flowers are re- quested.
