A banquet, sponsored by the Shelton-Mason County Journal as a kiq
the Bazaar of Values campa!gn, drew a full-house crowd of 185 local
businessmen and their staff members.
Highlight of the evening program was a capsule course in human
and retail selling presented by Guy Painter, Sr. (left).
The course covered customers' attitudes, needs and wants, eml
attitude and performance, and selling techniques.

...During the eight-week Bazaar of Values, the Shelton-Mason
County Journal will give away $200 in cash. During the first four
weeks $10 will be given away a week, during the next three weeks
$20 a week will be given away and at the end of the eighth week
there will be a $100 prize given away. All entries stay in the box
for the entire eight weeks. You have a chance to win each week.
You may deposit as many entries as you wish. The more entries
you make, the better chance you have of winning. Just write your
name, address, and phone number (if any) on a plain sheet of
pipe ~ use the coupon at the right, or pick up an entry form at
any "E;azaar of Values" merchants (look for posters displayed by
paiticipating merchants). Bring or mail these entries to the
Shelton-Mason County Journal, 3rd & Cota; or leave them with a
participating merchant. Each week a ticket will be drawn and a
photo of the happy winner taken. This is a bonus opportunity for
