Thursday, July 10, 2014 - Mason County Journal - Page A-21 By LLOYD MULLEN Iloyd@masoncounty. com During the past two years, Amber Smith has been working toward opening her store, Copy That Reprographics in Belfair. She's been in the graphics in- dustry since high school. "This is what I love to do," the new shop owner said. The copy center at 23730 state Route 3 will specialize in T-shirts and, according to Smith, anything you can think of -- large color and creative. Copy That Reprograph- ics is having an after-hours grand opening from 5 to 7 p.m. today. "I like the creative aspect of it. We can do copies and faxing and that kind of stuff," Smith said. "We design and help peo- ple get things that they can't accomplish themselves." Prior to opening her new business, Smith worked for another copy shop. "We separated ways and I moved home for a couple of years," she explained. While Smith worked from home, she spent the majority of her time thinking of ways to open her new store. Amber Smith helps a customer with some papers in late June. Journal photo by Kathy Brooks "Belfair chose me," she said. "I had some errands to do, went into the Copy It, Mail It. They were going out of business. It got me thinking about Belfair and a service needed to be here. That's how the process happened." Starting up wasn't difficult for Smith. She had 14 years of experience. The only chal- lenge came from finding a lo- cation that was comfortable. "Somewhere you wanted to be every day," she said. 'This log cabin is open and homey. That was the most difficult part, finding a place that I love." Now that Copy That Repro- graphics is open, Smith said her next goal is to be successful. "To provide my service -- I guess one goal is to be able to take care of all of the large jobs as well as stay small enough to take care of my customers and work with them on an individual basis. Community service, I like getting in the communi- ty and working with charity organizations. I want to stay involved and proactive in the community," she said. Since opening her doors, she said, the most rewarding part of the business has been the customers. "Everyone has been very friendly and accepting of me," Smith said. "I absolutely love the customers. Every day they come in for different reasons. They come in panicked and to be able to help them get what they need done is very satisfying."
