Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 - Mason County Journal- Page A-5 continued from page A-4 Losing candidate thanks his supporters Editor, the Journal Friends, it looks like we have been narrowly de- feated. I'm honored to have had the chance to run to represent the people of the 35th district. We went toe-to-toe with giants and had them on their heels, but in the end, it wasn't enough. I am extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish, the message we were able to promote, and the con- versation we started in the 35th district. Although I am aware that John is presently run- ning for Mason County PUD 3 commissioner, I miss his writings. I never read one word in his columns that pointed out his stances on any of his subject matters of this election. I would love to see his columns come back to your paper soon. Although I learn a lot from your weekly paper, I am hopeful that you won't make us wait until No- vember after the election takes place to start read- ing John's columns again. Ellie Nevers Grapeview Reader misses columnist's contributions to paper Editor, the Journal For quite a long time, I truly looked forward to the Journal arriving at our home every Thursday as the very first column I read each week was the one written by John Komen, which resided on the same Our new, low-dose CT Scanner brings comfort and safety to you and your family with state-of-the-art technology.
