Oct. 14
Theft -- At 2:21 p.m. on
West Matlock Brady Road
in Elma, a resident flagged
down a Washington State
Patrol trooper and reported
seeing a person stealing gas
from vehicles in the area.
Vehicle theft -- At 4:29 p.m.
and 4:33 p.m., two vehicles
were reported stolen at the
same address in the 2000
block of West Ford Loop
Road in Elma. Both vehicles
were nonfunctional. The Ma-
son County Sheriff's Office
responded and a suspect
was arrested on two counts
of vehicle theft.
Theft -- At 5:29 p.m., a
caller in the 500 block of
East Capital Prairie Road
reported that a man in a
white pickup took mail from
a mailbox.
Oct. 16
Marijuana -- At 7:09 a.m.,
a caller reported marijuana
usage on a school bus in
the 3700 block of Shelton
Springs Road. Shelton Po"
lice determined the incident
was to be unfounded.
Attempted burglary -- At
3:20 p.m., a burglary was
reported in the 500 block
of East Timberlake Drive
East. The caller reported
that someone tried to
break into the house by
drilling out the front door
lock. The Mason County
Sheriff's Office responded
and classified the incident
as "damage to private
property." The deadbolt
to the front door had been
partially drilled out. No
other damage to the home
was reported.
Oct. 17
Harassment -- At 4:25 p.m.,
a caller reported a person
with a gun in the Shelton
Timberland Library at
710 W. Alder St. The caller
said the person was show-
ing the gun to children.
According to the Shelton
Police Department, the sub-
ject, a juvenile male, had an
airsoft gun. The case was
referred to the Mason Coun-
ty Prosecutor's Office.
Oct. 18
Disturbance -- At 1:12 a.m.,
a fight was reported outside
the Overtime Sports Bar
and Grill at 114 W. Cota St,
Shelton Police responded
and found that the incident
had been resolved.
Oct. 20
Assault -- At 1:10 a.m., an
assault was reported near
a bar in the 100 block of
West Cota Street. Shelton
police responded but were
unable to locate the parties
involved.
Burglary -- At 10:29 a.m.
a burglary was reported in
the 300 block of Southeast
Craig Road in Shelton. The
caller reported heavy locks
were cut at the property.
