The Climbers (formerly Shelton Kings) minors defeated the Steilacoom Sentinels 14-6. Conner Gilman scored both touchdowns for Shelton. The team finished undefeated after seven games. The Shelton Climbers are one of the 12 youth football programs in the TCYFL. The program is made up of four divisions, divided by ages from second- through eighth-grades. The minors group is the youngest of those divisions. "1 am very proud of our boys. They worked really hard for this. I also want to congratulate the other Shelton team in our age group, the Shelton minors (white), on a great season," head coach Bob Gilman said. The minors cheerleaders, who also won a league championship this season, performed for the crowd at halftime.
