Hot John Pfaff, Butch Bowman, and Chet Norrito each won three games, as the Lamp Post rolled past Bob's Tavern 14 to 4 on the Wednesday Night pool league. The Town moved from fifth place into third place with an 11 to 7 victory over the Golden Pheasant Tavern, Greg Souliere's hot cue stick enabled Smith's Tavern to defeat Betty's Place 10 to 8. On Monday night action, the Pheasant picked up 6 full games on the league-leading Lamp Post with a 15 to 3 shellacking of the Town Tavern. Smith's Tavern gained a solid foothold on fourth place by defeating Betty's 11 to 7. In the battle of the league leaders a tie series resulted; Bob's Tavern 9 and the Lamp Post 9.
