We received an incredible response again this year
from our readers on what they consider the Best of Mason
County. Whether it's good people, fine food, outstanding
service or a favorite place to shop, Mason County Journal
readers made their voices heard. The Journal received and tabulated
more than 700 ballots from community members voting in 72 catego-
ries.
The Best of Mason County is not only an acknowledgment of the
outstanding service local businesses and individuals provide, but
also a great tool for finding those treasures that surround us every
day. Whether you are a lifelong resident or a new transplant, the
Best of Mason County serves as a guidebook for exploration and a
signpost to excellence. What better way to find out where the best
seafood, steak, pizza or sushi is served? Looking for a new bank?
Coffee? Tires? Or a host of other services? Our readers, your friends
and neighbors, have given their thumbs-up to these businesses, and
that's a big reason to give them a try. Perhaps you will discover a
new personal favorite of your own.
The Best of Masen County wouldn't be complete if we didn't recog-
nize those who make our community a better place to live, work, shop
and play. These people play a large part in shaping our future lead-
ers, keeping us safe, improving our community and fulfilling spiritual
needs. They are teachers, law enforcement officers, city and county
employees, and congregation leaders.
Everyone listed in this guide, regardless of ranking, is a winner.
Each is listed because the readers felt strongly enough to take the
time to fill out a ballot and submit their favorites.
Congratulations to all of those our readers chose as the Best of
Mason County. I would also like to extend my thanks to all the Jour-
na/readers who took the time to cast their ballots for their favorite
services, businesses and people.
