Johnson and editor Adam Rudnick also placed second in the Best Feature Page Design category. Hanson (Best Sports Personality Pro- file): : ; ;, : Hanson garnered two third-place awards (Best Sports Page Design and Best Sports News Story) along with Weeks (Color Feature Photo), Hyde (Best Special Section Cover), Adams (Color Pictorial Photo) and Journal staff (Tourism/Community Guide Spe- cial Sections) for its annual Visitors' Guide. Johnson also received a Rising Star award during the awards session. The contest collected submissions from newspapers throughout Wash- ington between April 1, 2013, and March 3i, 2014.
