Hood Canal Kiwanis President Margaret Brown presented the award to Sund on Nov. 5 at the Hoodsport Timberland Library. Sund first joined Vashon Island Ki- wanis in 1974 and joined Hood Canal Kiwanis in 1983. He has served as lieutenant gover- nor of the Kiwanis club, has chaired its scholarship committee and has participated in many projects, accord- ing to Hood Canal Kiwanis. Organizers of Mason County's annual Bluegrass from the Forest have, for a second year, scheduled a Mid-Winter Bluegrass Celebration for 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 26 at the Performing Arts Center at Shelton High School. Kristmas Town Kiwanis is sponsoring the event, which will help fund the May 2015 Blue- grass from the Forest event. Admission costs $10.
