FIRE CHIEF--This is Royce
H. Waldrep, 60, who will be-
come Simpson Timber Co. fire
chief on the Shelton waterfront,
Jan. 15. A native of Sunnyside,
Utah, Chief Waldrep has been
a fireman 34 years with the Ta-
coma and Aberdeen fire depart-
ments. He is a member of the
Masons, Shrine, Lions and sev-
eral professional associations.
Chief and Mrs. Waldrep have
two grown children and a dau-
ghter in grade school. They plan
to move to Shelton sometime af-
ter the first of the year.
Air Force Seeking
Pilot Trainees
Staff Sergeant Fredrick Knight,
the local Air Force recruiting rep-
resentative, slates tbat there is
an urgent need for pilots and nav-
iators in the officer training
:chool program of the Air Force.

s;eniors and college graduates. Up-
on successful completion of a 12-
w*ek orientation course, appli-
cants ere commissioned as second
lieutenants on active duty.
To qualify, applicants must be
between the ages of 20b,h and 27,:.,,
and be commissioned before reach-
ing their 28th birthday. More de-
tailed information on the Air
Force pilot, navigator and other
programs, may be obtained by

president of the Little Eg.t
Wranglers 4-H Club when they
met in the Dayton Community
Hall Dec. 20.
Other officers are Jack Rumpff,
vice president; Selby Huey, sec-
retary; Ray McCallum. reporter,
and Denny Combs, historian.
The members prepared 4-1-I
plans which were approved by the
leaders
