Adding to the old-time feel, local music group Swing Fever provided the entertainment this year, and packed themselves into the Harstine Island Community Hall's small stage. Swing dancing is very much encouraged at the party, and tends to be popular with all ages. "The music kind of crosses generations," Rose Benz said. The community club planned for a packed house this year. "It's crowded," Jan Ir- ving said. "We've sold a lot of tickets this year. We usually end up with about 120 people." People come from all parts of the island, some dressed up and some dressed down, but all ready to have a good time dancing the night away into the new year.
