victory.
Wrestlers stay impressive
North Mason's wrestling team minutes of their matches. 7-7; 135 -- Jim Marks (NM) dec.
Art Wallace, 12-2; 141 --Gary
continues to roll along in an
impressive style with a 55.5 win
over Vashon last Friday night
and a second-place finish in the
Castle Rock Tournament the
following 'day.
The Bulldogs handled visiting
league rival Vashon by logging
five decisions and three pins out
of the 13 weight classes. Their
effort was also aided by three
forfeits on Vashon's part in the
top trio of classes.

and Rob Mustain all pinned their
opponents within the first few

George and Mary Johnston
of South Shore are the new
owners of the Bear Creek
Mini-Mart located on the Old
Belfair Highway. The Johnstons
purchased the store from former
owners Bonnie and Ivan Davies,
and Carol, and Hersh
Quattlobaum.
Mike and Debbie Bell will
soon open a new store in Belfair
called Interior Inns of America.
The shop will sell home
decorating materials and provide
interior design services.
In the tournament, North
Mason placed second to host
Castle Rock, but outscrambled
the six other teams invited.
Jeff Hannan and Jim Marks
registered the Bulldogs' two
first-place finishes. Team member
Kurt Martinsen followed close
behind with a second, while
Bruce Johnson, Gary Johnson
and Tom Scott took thirds.
North Mason's jayvees will
host their own invitational
tournament against five other
teams this Saturday starting at
10 a.m.
Next home meet for the
varsity will be Saturday, January
21 against Sultan and Forks.
