Elizabeth Wolf traveled as
All-American Cheerleader
By EMILY HANSON
For one week during winter break, Elizabeth Wolf repre-
sented Shelton in London,
Wolf, a sophomore at Shelton High School, was chosen as
an All-American Cheerleader by the National Cheerleaders
Association (NCA) during the summer. After being chosen
as an All-American Cheerleader, Wolf decided to perform in
the London New Year's Day Parade - a trip that took her to
England from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
Wolf said she met cheerleaders from all
across the United States during her time
in London.
"The performance went great," she
added. "It was really cool and none of the
cheerleaders were mean to each other. It
was like having a second family because
we all shared the same passion."
Though Wolf learned a new routine
while in London for the parade, she said
Elizabeth she hasn't taught it to her Shelton squad.
Wolf "I feel like it would be stealing moves
to use it," she said. "Though I guess cheer-
leaders do that a lot because you only
have so many moves to use."
Wolf said the best part of her trip to London was defi-
nitely performing in the parade.
"There aren't that many cheerleaders in England so
everybody was amazed by us," she said. "It made me feel
great and it made me wonder how people reacted to the first
