The Climbers had two first place finishers in Ivan Fiedler a~ 138 and Den- nis at 18.2 and two second place finishers in Benny Olivas at 138 and Conklin at 145. Taking third for the Climbers were Kevin Loza at 126 and Corey at 152. 120, Blake Gentry at 170 and Garcia at 220 each took sixth. Also wrestling for Shel- ton were Erik Smith at .132, Hunter Core at 132 and Zacharias at 120. "We took our JV/young varsity and a few experi- enced varsity wrestlers be- cause their match counts were low." Lacy said. "It was a lot of fun and they all wrestled great. They were relaxed and confident." He said third place is right about where he thought the team should have finished. "We had a chance to fin- ish second and just lost a couple close matches." Lacy added. As of press time, the re- sults of the HighclimBers match against South Kit- sap on Tuesday, Jan. 10 were not yet available. The team is set to compete next at 7 p.m. on Thursday; Jan. 12 at Central Kitsap and on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the CK Matman Tournament at Central Kitsap. "This is a week we've been paying attention to on our schedule for about a year," Lacy said. "South Kitsap and Central Kit- sap generally have been the two top teams in our leaguer The CK Matman is our highest-level bracket of 16 teams ,tournament of the year.
