Shelton schools target Feb. 22 reopening

The Shelton School Board voted
unanimously Tuesday to try to re
open their schools on Feb. to stu
dents in preschool, kindergarten and

openings for older students.
The district had targeted Jan. 25
for the reopening. Currently, all the

sixth graders who are learning Eng-
lish as part of the newcomer s program. Small groups of special needs
students are learning in Shelton School
District buildings, and more will come back to the classroom even if the
district s plans to reopen for students in
preschool through first-grade on Feb. 22 doesn t come to fruition.
