Addition of a Manufacturing, Engineering,
and Technology (MET) Academy consist-
ing of the addition of 15,000 square feet
of classroom space and two 1,250 square
foot portables that will be constructed in
phases. Phase 1 includes a new 3,400
square foot metal frame classroom build—
ing, restrooms, and small mechanical
room. Phase 2A will add 5,800 square feet
of building to the west of phase 1. Phase
2B will consist of replacing two existing
portables with new portable classrooms
(1,250 square feet each) in the courtyard
to the west of the MET Building. Phase
' 3 would consist of adding a 5,800 square
foot addition to the east of the MET building
and will contain a wood shop and covered
work area. All stormwater is anticipated to
be infiltrated on-site and the existing park—
ing area (staff parking) will be replaced
with a new parking area to the north and
east of the new structure (still accessed via
a driveway on Shelton Springs Road). City
