The Mary M. Knight boys' basket-
ball team split a pair of home games
last week.
On Friday, Jan. 13. the Knight FRIDAY:

Jan. 14. the Knight
Owls defeated
North River 82-14'.
"This was a tough
game to coach be-
cause I can't tell my
boys no~ to play,"
Diggle said. "Then
the JV went in and
followed the game
plan and scored
well, too."
Sexton said the
Knight Owls wanted to be pumped
for this game after losing to Oakville.
"I'd say our pace was real slow in
the first half but then in the second
we really got momentum." he added.
Sexton led the team with 15 points
while junior Jeremy Pais scored 13
and junior Kyle Willey added 12.
Sexton also led with 11 rebounds
and five steals while Johnson and
O'Neil each handed out four assists.
The Knight Owls made 35 of 70
shots from the field and hit six of ten
free throws.
"North River is young with three
eighth-graders," Diggle said. "It's go-
ing to be a tough season for them."
As of press time, the Knight Owls
had not yet played South Bend on
Wednesday, Jan. 18.
The team is set to play next at 7:30
p.m. on Friday at Wishkah and at
7:30 p.m. on Saturday, home against
Taholah.
"We should fare well," Diggle said.
"Wishkah away should be fine but
Taholah could be tough because they
beat Oakville and can light it up any
night."
