But drivers may have difficul- ty finding a place to safely turn around to back their boat trailer into the water. The driveway leading to the water is about 200 feet long, bor- dered on both sides by private property. In past years, drivers have been allowed to utilize the neigh- boring Fair Harbor Marina drive- way to turn around. The line will be installed to stay ahead of development on the east side of Belfair and south side of Bremer- ton, said Bart Stepp, deputy director of Mason County Utilities and Waste Management. "Both Belfair and the Port of Bremerton don't have the capacity (to handle waste) as properties develop along that area," Stepp said. The grant will be submitted to the state Legislature to ask for money from the state capital project budget.
