North Mason lost to North Kit-
sap, Kingston and Oakville last week
in Olympic League and nonleague
action. g
The Bulldogs lost 91-31 to North '
Kitsap on Jan. 10 in Belfair before
falling 68-61 to Kingston onJ an. 12 in
Belfair. North Mason hit the road on
Jan. 14 and lost 83-60 to Oakville in a
nonleague c0ntest.
North Mason (0-11, 0-8) trav-
eled. to Port Angeles on Tuesday and
hosts Bremerton today in an Olympic
League game.
Girls basketball
The Bulldogs lost-to North Kitsap,
but earned wins against Kingston and
SheltOn in girls basketball action last
week.
North'Mason lost 65-40 to North
Kitsap in Silverdale on Jan. 10, but
bounced back with 214840 win on the
road against Kingston.
North Mason (7-4, 4-4) hosted Port
Angeles on Tuesday and travels to
take on Bremerton, today in an Olym-
. pic League match. The Bulldogs are
on the road against Crescent at 3 p.m.
Saturday in a nonleague game.
Girls bowling
The North Mason girls bowling
team earned their first win of 2023
in a 6-1 victory on Jan. 12 against
Bremerton at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port
Orchard.

Lanes. North Mason will travel back
to All Star Lanes in Silverdale today
for the Olympic League tournament.

North Mason lost to North Kitsap
in an Olympic League dual meet and
competed in the Island Invitational at
Bainbridge on Jan. 14.
The Bulldogs fell 58-26 to North
Kitsap on Jan. 11 in Kingston.
North Mason hosted a league dual
with Bremerton on Wednesday in
Belfair.

Girls basketball
The Owls defeated Oakville before
losses to Montesano’s JV and Three
Rivers Christian in nonleague girls
basketball last‘week.
_. Mary M. Knight won 30-17 agains
Oakville on Jan. 10 in Matlock. MMK
traveled to Montesano on Jan. 11 and
lost 33-18 to the Montesano JV team.
The Owls lost 36-20 to Three Rivers
Christian on Jan. 14 in Matlock.
MMK (5-5, 3—0) hosted Taholah on
Tuesday in a Coastal League game.
The Owls host North River on Friday
and face South Bend on the road Sat-
urday in a nonleague game.

Girls bowling
Shelton ended the regular sea-
son with a 2,225-1,517 loss to W.F.
West on Jan. 12 at Fairway Lanes in
Centralia. ' '
'The Highclimbers achieved a new
high varsity game at 695 and a new
varsity high series total. Kaylin Lan-
kelis bowled a high game of 116 and
Kylee Moore also achieved her high
gamei'or Shelton with a 158.
Bowlers bowling above their av-
erage for Shelton included Camilla
Crow, Lilah Wentworth, Audrey
Knauf, Kai Aronson, Alivia Holte,
Abbie Hirzel, Carly Perreira, Shayla~
Kiehn and Lankelis.
The Highclimbers faced Black Hills
on Jan. '10 at Westside Lanes on se-
nior night, falling to the Wolves 1,745
to 1,269. V
Seniors Crow, Kiehn, Knauf, Moore
and Jillian Meirndorf were recognized
before the match and all five bowled
in the first two games.
Three bowlers bowled new
high games, including Lilah
Wentworthwith a 176, Josefina

Francisco-Zacariasi with a 156 and
Carly Perreria with a 121. Wentworth
led the team with a 159 average.
Shelton will compete next at the
District 4'Championships on Jan.
25 at 9280 a.m. at Westside Lanes in
Olympia for a chance to punch a tick-
et to state. '
Boys swimming
‘ Shelton earned the Evergreen ,
League title on Jan. 10 before earn-
ing a nonleague win against Olympic
on Jan. 12 at the Shelton High School
pool last week.
. Against Aberdeen, Shelton’s Char-
lie Morson won the ZOO-yard free-
style in 2 minutes, 5.26 seconds and
won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.21.
Tawan Benedict won the 200-yard‘
individual medley in 2:23.91 and won
the 100-yard breaststoke‘in 1:06.81.
Wyatt Anthis won the 50-yard free—
style in 26.16 seconds. Coy Carter
won the 500-yard freestyle in 6:09.88.
Judah Holzgrove won the 100-yard
backstroke in 1:05.97. ‘
Shelton’s 200-yard medley relay
team of J ayden Lovingfoss, Benedict,
Wyatt Anthis and Holzgrove won in
1:54.44. The 400-yard freestyle relay
team of Morson, Andrew Karr, Holz-
grove and Benedict won in 3:48.17.
, Against Olympic, Morson won the
ZOO-yard freestyle in 2:04.95 and the
100-yard freestyle in 57.61 seconds.
Benedict won the ZOO-yard individual
medley in 2:10.11.
Wyatt Anthis won the 50-yard
freestyle in 26.44 seconds and Karr
won the 100—yard butterfly in 1:09.08.
