SHELTON POLICE Tuesday, January 12 Six calls were made regard- ing a violation of the liquor laws and a fight on the 700 block of West Pine Street. Eight people were reportedly drinking and fighting on North 8th Street. A caller from the 900 block of Bayview Loop Road reported a break-in at a neighbor's house. A woman from Pine Street told police she was being sexually harassed by a landlord who raised her rent $100 because she wouldn't sleep with him. Wednesday, January 13 A caller said his girlfriend tried to kick in a door on the 200 block of North First Street. A juvenile was reportedly rid- ing around in a handicapped cart and smashing things in the Safeway store. Police were notified that two students were detained with drug paraphernalia at Shelton Middle School. Thursday, January 14 Mason County Medic One re- sponded to the report of an injury at Evergreen Elementary School. A caller said he or she had been punched in the face by a big guy on the 600 block of Dearborn Avenue. Friday, January 15 A caller from the 300 block of North Seventh Street reported the theft of a floral bouquet. A motorist on East Wallace Kneeland Boulevard was report- edly cited for driving while in- toxicated. Saturday, January 16 A caller from the 300 block of I Street said someone had over- dosed on alcohol and pain kill- ers. Two men were said to be beat- ing a woman in the parking lot of a tavern on the 2200 block of Olympic Highway North. Sunday, January 17 A caller's stepson was report- edly threatening to commit sui- cide on Park Street with his girl- friend nearby. A caller told dispatchers he'd been chased by a gang in the downtown district. A burglary reportedly oc- curred on the 700 block of North Sunset Court. Monday, January 18 A caller from Safeway said someone had broken into the toy machine and that two females keep stealing stuff and selling it on the street. A clerk on West Alder Street reported finding a bag that may have contained cocaine. A chainsaw and a hedge trim- mer were reportedly stolen from the 900 block of Tobin Avenue. The coroner's car was report- edly broken into. MASON COUNTY JAIL POPULATION The Mason County Jail, which was designed for 45 inmates and refitted in 1989 to house 65, recorded populations as follows during the past week: Wednesday 84, Thursday 81, Friday 81, Saturday 78, Sunday 81, Monday 79, Tuesday 78. Efforts are currently under way to increase the capacity again. MASON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE Tuesday, January 12 A caller said kids were in a fight behind Walker Park. A caller from the West Lillie Road in Matlock reported a death threat resulting from a dispute over $3,000. A woman from Pine Street told police she was being sexually harassed by a landlord who raised her rent $100 because she wouldn't sleep with him. Wednesday, January 13 A caller said his girlfriend tried to kick in a door on the 200 block of North First Street. A juvenile was reportedly rid- ing around in a handicapped cart and smashing things in the Safeway store. Police were notified that two students were detained with drug paraphernalia at Shelton Middle School. Thursday, January 14 Mason County Medic One re- sponded to the report of an injury at Evergreen Elementary School. A caller said he or she had been punched in the face by a big guy on the 600 block of Dearborn Avenue. Friday, January 15 A caller from the 300 block of North Seventh Street reported the theft of a floral bouquet. A motorist on East Wallace Kneeland Boulevard was report- edly cited for driving while in- toxicated. Saturday, January 16 A caller from the 300 block of I Street said someone had over- dosed on alcohol and pain kill- ers. Two men were said to be beat- ing a woman in the parking lot of a tavern on the 2200 block of Olympic Highway North. Sunday, January 17 A caller's stepson was report- edly threatening to commit sui- cide on Park Street with his girl- friend nearby. A caller told dispatchers he'd been chased by a gang in the downtown district. A burglary reportedly oc- curred on the 700 block of North Sunset Court. Monday, January 18 A caller from Safeway said someone had broken into the toy machine and that two females keep stealing stuff and selling it on the street. A clerk on West Alder Street reported finding a bag that may have contained cocaine. A chainsaw and a hedge trim- mer were reportedly stolen from the 900 block of Tobin Avenue. The coroner's car was report- edly broken into.
