SHELTON POLICE Tuesday, January 16 A caller from the 1000 block of Cascade Avenue reported a hit-and-run collision involving damage to the caller's fence. A caller from the 1600 block of Ridge Road said two people attempted to break into the call- er's vehicle. Wednesday, January 17 Officers received a report of an alleged assault in the 2400 block of North 13th Street. At about 8 p.m. a caller from the 300 block of North Fifth Street asked police to check on the activities of a man with a blanket over his head and a shopping cart. Thursday, January 18 Officers responded to a call at 4:26 a.m. about a man walk- ing up and down the road in the 1900 block of Summit Avenue, yelling and whistling and re- ported the man was looking for his dog. At 10:44 a.m. officers respond- ed to a report of a disturbance at Choice High School. At 3:35 p.m. a disturbance was reported at Shelton High School. Vandalism to a window of a residence in the 800 block of South Eighth Street was report- ed. The caller said someone shot paintballs at the window from a vehicle. At 8:50 p.m. a caller com- plained about noise in the 300 block of South Third Street. Friday, January 19 At 1:34 a.m. officers respond- ed to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 100 block of West Cota Street. Police responding at 1:31 p.m. to a report of a disturbance at Shelton High School requested assistance from deputies. A ste- reo was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in one of the lots. At 9 p.m. a caller complained about noise in the 300 block of South Third Street. Vandalism to the Mason Tran- sit bus shed on Cascade Avenue at Olympic Highway South was reported. At 11:33 p.m. a prowler in the 600 block of Dearborn Avenue was reported. Saturday, January 20 At 1:56 a.m. a caller com- plained about noise in the 1400 block of Olympic Highway South. A 2004 blue Kia Optima was reported stolen from the 1500 block of Wingwood Place. A burglary at a residence un- der construction in the 600 block of Angleside Road was reported. A caller from the 600 block of West Birch Street reported an ongoing problem with kids "tag- ging" a fence. At 11:12 p.m. police respond- ed to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 100 block of West Cota Street. Sunday, January 21 Police responding at 1:26 a.m. to a report of a disturbance in- side a business in the 100 block of South First Street requested assistance from deputies. At 3:19 a.m. police requested assis- tance with a report of five people fighting in the 100 block of West Cota Street. A burglary at a residence in the 500 block of Laurel Street was reported. At 11:15 p.m. a prowler in the alley in the 100 block of West Cota Street was reported. Monday, January 22 At 12:38 a.m. police respond- ed to a report of a disturbance at Mason General Hospital. A caller reported the theft of copper wire from a con- struction site just north of the railroad tracks over NE State Route 3, Belfair. A caller from East Beach Drive, Union, reported the theft of about 100 gallons of heating fuel from a tank. A burglary at a residence about 1.5 miles out NE Old Bel- fair Highway, Belfair, was re- ported. An assault involving inmates at the jail was reported. Saturday, January 20 Fire District 2 responded at 11:32 p.m. to the report of an il- legal burn on NE Larson Boule- vard, Belfair. Wednesday, January 17 Officers received a report of an alleged assault in the 2400 block of North 13th Street. At about 8 p.m. a caller from the 300 block of North Fifth Street asked police to check on the activities of a man with a blanket over his head and a shopping cart. Thursday, January 18 Officers responded to a call at 4:26 a.m. about a man walk- ing up and down the road in the 1900 block of Summit Avenue, yelling and whistling and re- ported the man was looking for his dog.
