PUBLIC NOTICE
Request for Proposal (RFP)
Mason County Public Works is requesting proposals
for the following project:
Hunter Creek Bridge Replacement; Funded
through the 2010 Bridge Program (BRAC)
This project is to replace an existing three span con-
crete bridge and riprap abutments. The current bridge foot
print is 75 feet long by 24 feet wide. The proposed struc-
ture will require skewed abutments to match the stream's
existing alignment. The new structure will have a full su-
per elevation and will not be located within the existing
bridge foot print. The new structure design will include the
roadway approaches. This project will also include tem-
porary detour bridge design. Mason County Public Works
will provide base mapping, proposed centerline location
and design elevations of the structure and approaches.
The base mapping will include Right-of-Way.
Consultant services are to include geotechnical and
hydraulic analysis, necessary documents required for
Mason County Public Works to obtain environmental
permits, bridge design, roadway approach design, tem-
porary bridge detour design, preparation of specifications
(PS&E), design report, an engineer's estimate, construc-
tion enginebring support, bridge load ratings and scour
analysis (per NBI, W5BIS).
• Bridge Loading requirement is HL93.
Mason County Public Works encourages disadvan-
tage, minority and women owned consultant firms to sub-
mit a proposal.
All consultants are advised that LEO Compliance Re-
view will be conducted on this project.
The Recipient, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964,78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.c. 2000d to 2000d-
4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department
of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part
21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of
the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such
Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively en-
sure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this
advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as

GET TRANSFER - NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS, by reason of conditions which could
not be reasonably foreseen at the time of mak-
ing the budget for the year 2011, it is necessary
to make provision for supplemental appropriation/
budget transfer to the budget as required by RCW
36.40.100, and RCW 36.40.195 for the following:
WSU Extension - $35,000 supplemental ap-
propriation due to a $25,000 Dept. of Social &
Health Service contract to continue the Youth
in Action Program and $10,000 from the Ecol-
ogy Stormwater grant through MasonCounty
Public Works.
Human Resources - $15,100 from the Cur-
rent Expense Ending Fund Budgeted Balance
to Current Expense Human Resources for wag-
es and benefits.
Commissioner's Office - $7,382 budget
transfer from Current Expense Ending Fund
Budgeted Balance for Commissioner District 3
benefits.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
Board of Mason County Commissioners:
That the 8th day of February, 2011 at the hour
of 9:30 a.m in the Mason County Commissioners
Chambers in Courthouse Building I, 411 North Fifth
Street, Shelton, Washington, is hereby fixed as the
time and place for a public hearing upon the matter
of a supplemental appropriation/budget transfer to
the 2011 Budget as follows:
• WSU Extension - $35,000 supplemental ap-
propriation.
• Human Resources - $15,100 budget trans-
fer.
• Commissioner's Office - $7,382 budget
transfer.
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized,
empowered, and directed to cause notice of such
hearing to be published as provided by law.
