A representative ot" Mason Transit will speak at the meeting about dial-a-ride and other se- nior issues. The host committee for this event will be Dot Willour, Millie ltoman and Marge Busack. Zook will addressKiwanis Joan Zook, superintendent of Shelton School District, will pres- ent her State of the Schools report to Shelton Kiwanis. The club will lneet at noon on Tuesday, February 6, at Xinh's Clam and ()yster liouse, 221 West Railroad Avenue in downtown Shelton. Veterans, auxiliary to meet Members of" the Mason County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 169,1 and the Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb- ruary 2, in Memorial Hall at the corner of Second and Franklin streets in downtown 8helton. The auxiliary will make plans tbr the past commanders and past presidents dinner, which will take place on Friday, February 16. The auxiliary will host a card party at 1 p.m. All funds will support the cancer aid and research pro- gram. The post and auxiliary also meet tbr bingo each Saturday, with "early bird 'e bingo beginning at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the c'hrd party and bingo. Jane Mahony advises the chapter of DECA, an association of marketing students formerly known as tive Education Clubs of America. Fourteen students will compete on the state at the Washington State Career Development Conference set for March 8-10 in levue. Participants will compete in writing events and role-play scenarios. at the state level will move on to compete on the national level at the Career Development Conference during the weekend of April 27 through May Orlando, Florida. The Area 8 conference was held on January 12. Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at the Mason County Senior Activities Center at 826 West Railroad Avenue. The senior center hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center's tele- phone desk (426-7374) is closed tbr lunch from noon till 12:30 p.m. Adult lap swimming is set for 11:15 a.m. weekdays and noon on Saturday at the Shelton High School Pool.
