SEALED BIDS for the 2007 Manufactur-
ing and Stockpiling of Mineral Aggregate will
be received by the County of Mason at the of-
fice of the County Commissioners, located in
Courthouse Building I, 411 North 5th Street,
Shelton, Washington, 98584, until Friday,
February 9, 2007, 9:00 A.M. at which time
they will be publicly opened and read.
MAJOR BID ITEMS will include: Manu-
facturing of approximately 9,650 tons of Ag-
gregate for Bituminous Surface Treatment
and Stockpiling of produced materials at
identified locations throughout Mason County
in accordance with the 2006 WSDOT Stan-
dard Specifications and as modified within
the Special Provisions.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS for
bidding shall be obtained at the office of
the County Engineer located in the Court-
house Building 8 at 415 N..Sixth St. (P. O.
Box 1850), Shelton, Washington, 98584, for
$25.00 per set, non-refundable.
ALL SlD PROPOSALS shall be accom-
panied by a bid proposal deposit in the form
of a Surety Bond, Cash, Cashier's Check, or
Certified Check in an amount equal to five per-
cent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.
The Proposal Bond shall be on DOT Form
272-001 revised 08/2001 for Local Agency
Use. Should the successful bidder fail to en-
ter into such contract and furnish satisfactory
performance bond within the time stated in
the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit
shall be forfeited to the County of Mason.
ALL BID PROPOSALS must be in
writing, on forms furnished by the County
Engineer, sealed and filed with the Clerk of
the Board of County Commissioners on or

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on
February 16, 2007, commencing at 9:00 AM
in the Mason County Commissioners Cham-
bers, located in Courthouse Building I, 411
North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington, the
timber on the following described tract of land
will be sold at public auction on e sealed bid
basis by the Mason County Treasurer to the
best and highest bidder. This sale is for the
purpose of removing all timber within the
following described tract of land (with minor
reservations) without regard for species or
size, to wit:
An area comprised of the timber in the
north portions of parcels 420022100000,
420021000010, and 420021000020 as iden-
tiffed by the Mason County Assessor and
marked with pink paint and ribbon and cut-
ting lines. The sale area is comprised of two.
units totaling approximately 14 acres. There
are three small leave areas, which have
been marked on the ground. A map of the
sale area and sale contract are available at
the Mason County Public Works office, 415
North 6th Street, Shelton, WA.
Directions to sale area: Proceed north
from Shelton on State Route 101 approxi-
mately two miles to the intersection with
State Route 102. Continue north on SR 101
approximately 1/4 mile to the intersection
with a logging road on the left. The logging
road enters the southern portion of the sale
area.
Timber will be sold on a pay-as-cut basis
for the following products:

County concerning the volume or value of the
products offered for sale.
The sale will be awarded to the bidder of-
faring the highest total value based on prices
per unit of volume for each class of product
extended against the County's volume esti-
mate.
All bidders are required to submit a bid
deposit equal to t 0% of their total bid. All bid
deposits will be retained by Mason County
until the winning bidder is announced. At that
time, unsuccessful bidders will have their
deposits returned and the bid deposit of the
winning bidder will be retained. If the suc-
cessful bidder does not enter into a contract
with Mason County to log the timber from the
sale area, his bid deposit will be forfeited as
liquidated damages to the County.
The successful bidder may begin cuffing
and removing timber from the sale area no
earlier than March 5, 2007 and will complete
removals by March 30, 2007. AS part of the
timber sale contract with Mason County, the
successful bidder will be required to post a
performance and payment bond equal to
100% of the amount bid. Mason County will
require the successful bidder to supply proof
of liability insurance with a minimum cover-
age of $1,000,000 to include Logger's lf:|

SEALED BIDS for the 2007 Manufactur-
ing and Stockpiling of Mineral Aggregate will
be received by the County of Mason at the of-
fice of the County Commissioners, located in
Courthouse Building I, 411 North 5th Street,
Shelton, Washington, 98584, until Friday,
February 9, 2007, 9:00 A.M. at which time
they will be publicly opened and read.
MAJOR BID ITEMS will include: Manu-
facturing of approximately 9,650 tons of Ag-
gregate for Bituminous Surface Treatment
and Stockpiling of produced materials at
identified locations throughout Mason County
in accordance with the 2006 WSDOT Stan-
dard Specifications and as modified within
the Special Provisions.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS for
bidding shall be obtained at the office of
the County Engineer located in the Court-
house Building 8 at 415 N..Sixth St. (P. O.
Box 1850), Shelton, Washington, 98584, for
$25.00 per set, non-refundable.
ALL SlD PROPOSALS shall be accom-
panied by a bid proposal deposit in the form

NOTICE OF SALE OF TIMBER
MASON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on
February 16, 2007, commencing at 9:00 AM
in the Mason County Commissioners Cham-
bers, located in Courthouse Building I, 411
North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington, the
timber on the following described tract of land
will be sold at public auction on e sealed bid
basis by the Mason County Treasurer to the
best and highest bidder. This sale is for the
purpose of removing all timber within the
following described tract of land (with minor
reservations) without regard for species or
size, to wit:
An area comprised of the timber in the
north portions of parcels 420022100000,
420021000010, and 420021000020 as iden-
tiffed by the Mason County Assessor and
marked with pink paint and ribbon and cut-
ting lines. The sale area is comprised of two.
units totaling approximately 14 acres. There
are three small leave areas, which have
been marked on the ground. A map of the
sale area and sale contract are available at
the Mason County Public Works office, 415
North 6th Street, Shelton, WA.
Directions to sale area: Proceed north
from Shelton on State Route 101 approxi-
mately two miles to the intersection with
State Route 102. Continue north on SR 101
approximately 1/4 mile to the intersection
with a logging road on the left. The logging
road enters the southern portion of the sale
area.
Timber will be sold on a pay-as-cut basis
for the following products:

Bidding will be allowed on saw logs only.
Bidders warrant to the County that the bid
entered is based on their own evaluation of
volume and quality of the products offered
for sale, that they have had an opportunity
to fully inspect the sale area and are not m-
lying on any information provided by Mason
County concerning the volume or value of the
products offered for sale.
The sale will be awarded to the bidder of-
faring the highest total value based on prices
per unit of volume for each class of product
extended against the County's volume esti-
mate.
All bidders are required to submit a bid
deposit equal to t 0% of their total bid. All bid
deposits will be retained by Mason County
until the winning bidder is announced. At that
time, unsuccessful bidders will have their
deposits returned and the bid deposit of the
winning bidder will be retained. If the suc-
cessful bidder does not enter into a contract
with Mason County to log the timber from the
sale area, his bid deposit will be forfeited as
liquidated damages to the County.
The successful bidder may begin cuffing
and removing timber from the sale area no
earlier than March 5, 2007 and will complete
removals by March 30, 2007. AS part of the
timber sale contract with Mason County, the
successful bidder will be required to post a
performance and payment bond equal to
100% of the amount bid. Mason County will
require the successful bidder to supply proof
of liability insurance with a minimum cover-
age of $1,000,000 to include Logger's lf:|
