Page B-30 - She#on-Mason County Journal - Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 Barbara Elaine (Durand) LaBissoniere Barbara Elaine (Du- rand) LaBissoniere was born August 23, 1926, in Bemidji, Minnesota to Henry "Hank" and Florence "Flo" (Maher) Durand and died Janu- ary 27, 2017. She graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1944. She mar- ried Allen Joseph LaBis- soniere. Together they had one son, Terry La- Bissoniere of Covington Washington. Barbara had 7 grand children and 2 great grand children. She had two brothers, Gene Durand of San Jose, California and James Durand of Elma, Washington both of whom predeceased her. Barbara worked at Val- ley Appliance, Kirkebo Construction of Tacoma, Rayonier, Inc. Shelton, R. F. John Alexander Eager John Alexander Ea- ger, 93, was born into Eternal Life on Wednes- day, January 18, 2017 at his home in Potlatch, Washington. John was born Octo- ber 7, 1923 in Castlebel- hngham, Ireland to John W. and Violet (Kelly) Eager. In 1928, the fam- ily voyaged from Ireland to Shelton, Washington and resided on a farm in Skokomish Valley. John graduated from Shelton High School in 1942 and days later left to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1945, he returned to Shelton and became employed as a machinist at Rayonier Pulp and Paper Research Lab. John met the love of his life, Betty May Butler, and they married at St David's Episcopal Church on December 26, 1948. John took early retirement from ITT Rayonier to serve his community as a Mason County Commissioner addressing the needs of his community and its unique environment. "God's country" is what he would call it and that was his passion. He, also, enjoyed and took pride in creating and building; he was a hard worker. With a big Irish heart, John lived to give to his family. His uncon- ditional love and support and great humor created many special memories; most unforgettable were the cherished good times of life and love, friends and family, on beautiful Hood Canal. Alpha M. (Lien) Heinemeyer Alpha M. (Lien) Heinemeyer passed away on January 13, 2017 of natural causes at Brookdale West as- sisted living in Olympia, where she had resided for four years. She was 88. Alpha was born April 14, 1928 in International Falls, Minnesota to An- ten G. Lien and Hilda F. (Bratlie) Lien. She was married to Lawrence Burfiend from 1950 to 1972 and they were di- vorced. She married Rob- ert E. Heinemeyer in 1988 in Nevada, and he predeceased Alpha in 2001. Alpha worked in pharmacies as a retail clerk. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was always doing nice things for her family and friends. She was also ac- tive in bowling leagues, pool leagues, and played darts. She also loved to travel and her and her husband Bob loved Lorraine I. Robertshaw A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, Lorraine I. Robertshaw passed away January 7, 2017 at home in Shelton, W& She was born Novem- ber 27, 1922 to parents, Petur and Greta Ander- son (Andresson) in Glad- stone, Manitoba, Cana- da, and grew up in the Steele Bridge district on a farm along the White- mud River. She was the third of five children, a family of Icelandic heri- tage who played music together and had great stories to tell of their growing-up years. She later graduated from business college and became an ac- complished executive secretary working in many interesting places throughout her career. Lori met Gordon Robortshaw at a dance in Gladstone. They were married September 4, 1948 and spent three years in Vancouver, B.C Canada, where their son, Darryl, was born. They later moved to southern California in 1951 where they raised their son, Darryl, and daughter, Lesley. The years in southern Cali- fornia were spent with good friends and family. Lorraine and Gordon eventually retired and later moved to Shelton, WA, in 2002 where they enjoyed living the rest of their lives in the Lake Limerick community. Lorraine was known to many as a kind and generous lady who cared about her family, had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh.~ She was an avid reader and a great conversa- tionalist. Lori enjoyed playing cribbage, bridge and poker and dancing with Gordon. She also enjoyed watching base- ball. She was a loy~ fan of the Dodgers through- out her life in southern California and later became a loyal fan of the Mariners the rest of her life in Shelton, WA. Mi- chael Sanders was her all-time favorite player. Those who knew Lori knew never to call dur- ing a Marine~s game. Those that did would im- mediately get the "bum's rush.~ She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Gordon, Ar- nold, and Harvey. She is survived by her brother, Roy (Rose) Anderson; son, Darryl (Trisha) Rob- ertshaw; daughter, Les- ley (Jess) Robertshaw- Mosley;, granddaughters Danielle Kline and Hope (Jay) McGrafl; great- grandsons Brady and Chase Kline and Shaw McGrail; and many nieces and nephews. She was truly loved and will be missed al- ways. There will be a celebration of the lives of beth Lorraine and Gor- don at a later date. Ruth Ann Savage Ruth Ann Savage, 65 passed away peacefully at home in Shelton on December 25, 2016 to join the Lord and her heavenly family. She was born March 27, 1951 in Aberdeen, WA to Mr. Alva and Mrs. Dal- las (Baldwin) Savage. She had a career with Security Pacific Bank in California. Ruth had a passion for collecting teddy bears. She was also extremely creative and made many different crafts including jewelry, tiny boxes, and was an expert at quilling. Ruth was very active in her community and had a close relationship with her family and her church. She will be greatly missed by those that she touched with her presence. She was a kind, generous person who was always ready to help her family and loved working with the children at her church.
