bids will be received by Mason County until
4:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the
office of the Mason County Commission-
ers,411 North 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98584
for the Mason County Downtown Campus Fi—
ber Optic Upgrade in Shelton, WA. Bids must
be in a sealed, properly addressed envelope
with the name of the Bidder. and “Fiber Optic
Upgrade Bid" plainly written on the outside of
the envelope, delivered prior to the scheduled
time and date stated in the Invitation to Bid.
County offices are not open for special mail
or other delivery on weekends and County
holidays. Bids shall be addressed to Mason
County Central Services/Information Technol-
ogy, 411 North 5th Street, Shelton, WA 98584.
Proposals will be publicly opened in the Com-
mission Chambers and read aloud foll0w-

tion of Proposal Install aerial Fiber along US
Highway 101 across a six-mile utility pole span
owned and maintained by Mason County PUD
1. This project also includes the replacement
of one hundred and fifty—eight poles. The poles
being replaced are either undersized, under
classed or determined over aged. Poles will
be replaced within the PUD’s established right
of way with Washington Department of Trans-
portation. Project to include grading, base
material, rock, and other materials to ensure
poles are placed in a resilient manner. This
determination of non-significance is based
on replacing already existing facilities, and
not performing any activities that threaten the
surrounding environment. Proponent Mason

The project spans approximately 5.8 miles
from North of Forest Dr., Brinnon WA (MP
314.33) to Mt. Walker Rd., Brinnon WA (MP

1, the lead agency for this proposal, has deter-
mined that this proposal will not have a prob-
able significant adverse impaCt on the envi-
ronment. An environmental impact statement
(ElS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)
(c). This decision was made after review of a
completed environmental checklist and other
information on file with the lead agency. This
information is available to the public on re-
quest. This Determination of Non-significance
(DNS) is issued under WAC 197—11—340(2);
the lead agency will not act on this proposal
for fourteen (14) days from the date below. A
