Coach Sally Cassidy was unable to attend, so varsity coach Jan Johnson stepped in and led the girls to a 31-28 victory. Ms. Johnson had this to say about the game, "Schillinger (Karla) and Barrow (Tammy) couldn't miss in the first half. They were hotter than firecrackers." The Bulldogs were way ahead in the third quarter and Johnson started substituting like crazy. When the score reached CWA 22 and NM 24, she got worried and put the starting line-up back in, in a hurry. Says Johnson, "The defense was so-o-o tight. 1 think Kerry Burrell did a fine job of setting the ball in." The highlight of the game appeared to be when Eileen Reece scored her first two points of the season. The girls track team is getting ready to start practice on Mar. 5.
