Conservation Corps (YCC) in
Washington this summer.
Tile continuing youth
program is operated by the
individual states, U.S.
Department of the Interior, and
the U.S. Forest Service. Entering
its eighth year, the YCC provides
employlnent during the summer
for persons at least 15 and not
yet 19 years of age.
In past years the YCC has
completed projects involving
slream improvement, tree
thiilning, range fencing, trail
construction and clearing, fish"
and wildlife habitat
improvement, wildlife studies,
and construction of recreation
facilities, among others.
