He weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces. Ameliya Mabel Arlene Frost Ameliya Mabel Arlene Frost was born Jan. 1, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia to Jamie Ellertsen and Jesse Frost of Shelton. Leif Herbert Cargill Leif Herbert Cargill was born on Jan. 10, at 12:03 p.m: at Providence St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia to Zachary and Marguerite Cargill of Shelton. He was 9 pounds and 10 ounces and 20-3/4 inches long. Network administrator named hospital's employee of the month Karl Hentschel, network administrator in Information Technology (IT), was select- ed by his peers as Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics' February Employee of the Month. He has worked at MGH & FC for the past three years. "I am honored to receive this award and for IT to be rec- ognized," Hentschel said. "IT does a lot of work behind the scenes, so it's good to see our hard work gets noticed." "Karl will do any job, no matter how simple or complex, with a smile. He always puts others first and is willing to help any- one with any issue. Positive attitude, cour- tesy, diligence and a willingness to help at any time are a few words that describe him. Karl is a positive and important asset to the IT team," said his nominator. He received his bachelor of science de- gree in 2005 while working at a local credit union as an information technician and network administrator. In his position at MGH & FC, Hentschel is responsible for enterprise support. "The best part of my job is that I have the abil- ity to learn and train on the new technology, and help others in doing so," said Hentschel. "Because of the leadership and IT achievement at Mason General, we have better Karl access to leading-edge Hentschel technologythan other hospitals." MGH & FC has re- ceived health cafe's Most Wired Hospital award for four years straight. Hentschel is originally from Centralia and is married with one child and another on the way. His wife works as a nurse for MGH & FC and St. Peter Hospital. When they aren't busy with family activities, Hentschel and his wife enjoy hiking and biking. MGH & FC Presents free women's health Mason General Hospi- tal & Family of Clinics is pleased to host another free women's health event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the main entrance of Mason General Hospital. Open to all women in the community, the event fea- tures information on wom- en's health with free diag- nostic health screenings and other services by health care professionals. In addition, the first 50 women in atten- dance, aged 40 to 65, who are uninsured or underin- sured will receive a free dig- ital mammogram screening funded by Karen Hilburn Breast and Cervical Cancer Fund; Washington Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program and Susan G. Ko- men for the Cure of Puget Sound. Insured women may make a digital mammogram appointment for a later date by calling 427-9590, option 3. For all women at the event there will be free blood pressure, cardiac and diabe- tes testing and information on the HPV vaccine to pre- vent most cases of cervical cancer. Nutritional services, healthy refreshments and mini massages will also be offered and all in an atmo- sphere that celebrates being a woman.
