Raymond Charles Hill-
man, 58, died February 3,
2011 at St. Peters Hospital
in Olympia from complica-
tions re-
lated to
cancer.
He was a
resident of
Shelton for
10 years.
He was
born Janu-
ary 20,
1953 to A1-
Raymond fred C. and

Hillman H i 11 m a n
at St. Jo-
seph's in Tacoma.
He worked in mainte-
nance and as a cook at Spen-
cer Lake Bar and Gill.
He enjoyed landscaping,
family, friends, four wheel-
ing, his Dodge and playing
"up words." He liked mak-
ing fudge and his family
states he really liked work-
ing at the Spencer Lake Bar
and Grill.
His sisters Linda Autry,
Sandy Sanders and Janet
Henderson, brothers Den-
nis Hillman, Jeff and Dave
Jacobs and many nieces and
nephews and great-nieces
and nephews survive him.
A service is planned at 1
p.m. on February 12, 2011
at Spencer Lake Bar and
Grill.

Canada where his parents
homesteaded. They moved
to Washington during his
teen years. He spent his
adult years in Shelton and
Port Orchard.
He married Elsie Heinold
on January 2, 1943 in Shel-
ton.
In the 1930's he began
working at Rayonier Pulp
Mill in the pipe shop earring
43 cents an hour. After the
mill closed he worked in the
personnel office at Simpson
Logging Company. From the
logging company he went
into Christmas trees. He
was a self-employed logger/
Christmas tree farmer until
he went to work for McCor-
mick Land Company as the

His family shared that
he enjoyed classical music
and was a 25-year Bremer-
ton Symphony s, ubscriber.
He also enjoyed playing
pool and cribbage. His fam-
ily states that he had a dry
