Monica loved photography, good music and
dancing, but above all else, Monica loved Iesus. Her
love for Jesus reflected how she loved others. She
had a deeply compassionate spirit, always quick to
assist others whenever she could and happy to bring
comfort to those in need. Ifsomeone was hurting and
needed a kind word ‘or prayer, she would gladly offer
it. Even to strangers (although, the truth is, Monica

in her world.
Monica came out of retirement to become the
manager of Friendly Village in Olympia. She prided
herself in knowing all the residents (and their

community, but also a friend to so many who lived
there. She rel ired from Friendly Village in 2011.
She married Hershal Eugene ()verbey on

Monica suffered from dementia for several years,

faith in Jesus. She was bold in her faith and loved to
share Jesus with others.
She truly had a smile that would light up a room.
