att Tr'ogden in the consolation semifinals at 126 pounds. Caden Atencio
takes down Washington’s Orekene Tuivaiave in the consolation quarterfi-
nals of the 170-pound tournament.

River’s Caleb Dale in the semifinals. He lost in
a 7-4 decision against Ortings Matthew Gore in
the championship match.
North Mason’s Blake Evans finished fifth in
the 126-pound tournament and Charles Brough-
ton placed fifth at 138 pounds and are the first al-
ternates to the state tournament. Carlos Atencio
earned sixth place at 170 pounds and Sean Fer-
ber finished sixth in the-132-pound tournament
after going down with an injury in the consolation
semifinals.
The Bulldogs finished sixth as a team. Salva-
dor and Mathews will compete at the Mat Classic
on Friday and Saturday in the Tacoma Dome.
Evans finishes .
third to reach state
North Mason’s Sadie Evans finished third in the
l55-pound tournament at the girls 1B/2B/1A/2A
Region 1 wrestling competition Saturday at
.Sedro-Woolley High School.
Evans won her opening match by a 20-6 deci-
sion against Blaine’s Analicea Ordonez. .She fell
in the semifinals to Mount Baker’s Sydney Van—
Brocklin by pin. ‘
Evans bounced back in the consolation
semifinals with a win by pin against Stelia~
coom’s Amina Thomas before defeating East
Jefferson’s Melody Douglas by pin in the third
’place match. v
Evans will compete at the Mat Classic on Fri—
day and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.‘
