President, Lori Goldsby, called the meeting to order and secretary Debbie Goldsby read the roll and took the minutes. There was no old business. In new business, they went over the 4-H calendars and discussed Demonstration Day which is March 14. The meeting was adjourned and they watched two demonstrations. The Four Leaves 4-H group had a Valentine's party at leader, Mrs. Helen Bakke's Feb. 1 4. tJ The adults in Shelton are going back to school! Olympic College has opened the door for grown-ups to further their education with a minimum of effort and expense here in Shelton, and in the evening hours. Each quarter, the classes offered bring a bigger and better response. Policemen and Corrections Center officers are taking courses in law enforcement and psychology; housewives are knitting, typing and writing compositions; undergraduate college students are picking up history ; science and English credits and some of the "older generation" are back at the desks working on their three "R's", to pick up their High School diplomas. A real cross-section of our citizens are attending these night classes, and discovering the satisfaction of tackling a job improvement course, meeting the kind of people they will be working with and some have even made new job contacts. .... -SALE-0F FAMous ---- Match Box R CE SETS 40% OFF "fast as Hot Wheels" Hobbies -- Toys 220 Cota A Valentine's luncheon was served.
