That's the pitch Ma- son Matters Executive Director Kimberley Klint will present at the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce's monthly membership meeting from 6 to 8 to- night at The Pavilion at Sentry Park in Shelton. Also speaking is Mike Hickman, assistant su- perintendent of student support services for Edu- cational Service District 113. In her presenta- tion, Building Commu- nity Through Education, Klint will talk about the nonprofit organization's Career and College Read- iness program. "We need business partners that have ex- pertise they can bring into the classroom ... We want to get businesspeo- ple in front of the kids to discuss their multiple ca- reer paths, the different paths to their dreams," Klint said. The orga- nization helped establish Turning Pointe Domestic Violence Services, built the Mason Community Dental Clinic, and devel- oped and implemented homeless prevention plans.
