The Shelton wrestling team
came up with a fine effort
Saturday at the Black Hills
League AA wrestling tournament•
The Climbers finished only
fifth in the seven-team
tournament, but they qualified 11
wrestlers for the regional
tournament this weekend at
Columbia River High School in
Vancouver•
Wayne Alexander, 141-pound
senior, won Shelton's only
championship with a 9-5 decision
to remain undefeated for the
season.
Sophomore Leonard Stolen
surprised many people when he
finished second in the 158-pound
class, losing only to the
top-seeded wrestler from
Chehalis.
