/ Thank You To The Rossmaier Family \
The Grange and Rossmaier family association started when Lud joined
the Matlock Grange in 1934. Nellie joined in 1943 and both served in
officer positions through out their grange life.
Lud was Matlock Master for 20 years. Their children, Margaret, Joann
and Delores have over 50 years and son Paul has 40 years. Two of the
girl's husbands are members, Carl with 38 years and Duck with 53 ~:
years, granddaughters; Karen has 3 l years and Nancy one year and iii
great-grandson Ryan has 11 years of Matlock membership. A combined
total of the current family members years is 394.
As a family, about 45 years ago they started a huge project that has
netted our grange a nice annual income. They have baked pies and sold
them, first at the Historical Fair in the Skokomish Valley and Mason
County Fair and now at the Old Timers Fair in Matlock. Another project
is Duck's famous cinnamon rolls that are sold at the Old Timers Fair
and the Hunters Breakfast. Pie bakers are Nellie, Margaret, Delores,
Duck, Joann, Karen, Nancy, Ryan and Matthew. Other family members
are there for the hauling, set up and take down of the ovens and
equipment. Please show your appreciation to this family that is quite
like the Energizer Bunny~ They have always been there for Matlock.
