St. Edward's Altar Society is hosting the
World Day of Prayer at i p.m. on March 2.
The service begins at sunrise in the West
Coast region and follows the Earth's orbit all
around the world. It is a continuous prayer
every hour of the day.
This year's theme, Let Justice Prevail, was
chosen by a committee of Malaysian women.
Everyone in the community is invited to
join in praying with the world.
Refreshments will be served after the ser-
vice.
Foundation seeks nominations for
American Business Women's Award
Mason General Hospital
Foundation is preparing a
tribute to the community's
most outstanding busi-
nesswomen and is seeking
nominations for its 15th
annual American Business
Women's Award.
The award will be pre-
sented at a luncheon held
from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
on Friday, Sept. 21. Due to
the campus renewal proj-
ect, the location will be
announced at a later date.
Tickets for the event are
$25 per person.
Each year, the MGH
Foundation honors com-
munity businesswomen
who are or were successful
in their occupations, work
or have worked in Mason
County and are active and
volunteer in their commu-
nity.
