BAG NEW CROP PTO To Present Play "Here Comes Charlie"; High School Students Present Musical Program By Tom l~a~e Kathy Iverson is Nora, a typical "I-Iere Comes Charlie" was se- lected to be shown by the P.T.O. The cast ih made up of parents and though the faculty takes no direct part, they help on behind ~e scenes work such as direc- tions and property. The three act rplay will last 2~/~ hours. It will be acted out on the stago in the school auditorinm March 20. It is a comedy about a house- hold that is informed they will receive a young person to take care of. Larry pz~mised a man, who had done him a favor, he would take care of "Cha~qie." Larry is unmarried but his fi- ancee doesn't like the idea. Mrs. Kathy French takes the pat~ of CharIie Hopps, a comical 17-year-old. Mrs. Dena Rothrock is Vivian Smythe Kersey, a spoil- ed young society girl. Mrs. Smythe Kersey, Vivian's ¢~other is played by Mrs. Lucile Gribble. Uncle Aleck, played by Ken Gribble, is a typical hick who is devoted to "Charlie". Robert Trimble p]ay~ the part of Larry Elliot, a debon- air young fellow wizo is faced with the responsibility of taking care of "Charlie." Dave DeFoer is Ted, a lively friend of Larry's Mortimer Kersey, who is played by Ralph Rothrock, is a vacuous looking youth of 21 who is always neatly dressed. Duane Lovette takes the part of Tim l~$cGrill, a stalwart young policeman. Mrs. Irish maid, Mrs. Melba Trenk- mann has the part of Mrs. Fad-n- ham, a matron in her early for- ties. Mrs. Elizabeth Rennet is the director and Mrs. Jeanne Owen is advet~tzing manager. Make up will be by Mrs. Joann Sinclair, Mrs. Dorothy Trimble m~d Terry Beerbower. High school students entertain- ed the P.T.O. before their meeting with a musical program. The pro- gram was under the direction of Mr. Colter. The Senior Choir seng "Green Fields", "Green Green" and "Five I-tundred Mile~". A sextet, Shyrli 5anson, Mac Coburn, Mar- gie McGarvie, 3ackie Landis, Rene Perkins and Barbara Owen, sang "Lemon Tree" and "Ramblin' Rose." FIRST AND SECOND GRADE NEWS By Donna. Owen Mrs. Killough's first and second grade class had a Valentines Par- ty on Valentine's Day, February 14th. lVIrs, tIerb Brehmeyer, Jr. and Mrs. French, the room moth- ers, brought cupcakes and soft- drinks for all. Mrs. Ralph Cook made each of the children a heart cookie decorated with frosting :and the childs name. The children made heart shaped e~velopes which they decorated themselves. They had lots of fun exchanging valentines. Supervising construction of Bill & Mary's Bakery addition to Stewart's Foodliner is a step in the progressof our communily in which we are grateful for having had a pad.
