The executive committee stated it was meeting to discuss the selection of one of the four candidates as Paul Bunyan. The button design is also in progress. The association received a letter from Governor Daniel J. Evans stating he would not be able to attend the festival this year. The association is accepting applications from groups interested in having concessions on the parade route and at the logging show on Saturday of the festival. Any group interested can contact Concession Chairman James Connolly at 426-1351. THOSE WHO won our independence by revolution were not cowards. They did not fear political change. They did not exalt order at the cost of liberty. Louis D. Brandeis rama "On Borrowed Time" is a play about an endearing old man who hoodwinks death rather than let his grandson grow up a sissy. "On Borrowed Time" is coming to Shelton High School stage, March 8, 9 and 10 in the Reed Auditorium. "On Borrowed Time" was a huge hit on Broadway in 1938, and again in 1953. Its leading role of a wily grandfather, who manages to postpone the claim of the inevitable creditor for a few days, will be portrayed by professional actor, Brooks Woolley. Filled with shrewd and acid humor, the play treats the subject of mortality brightly and hilariously. In dealing with the gruesome matter of death, the play is forthright, effective and dralnatic. You will find "On Borrowed Time" delightful entertainment. Mr. Brink (Rich Yates) as Death, a pleasant fellow who goes about his business in a friendly pro uc ion plan (Pud) will have the role of a child who worships his "cussin' and smokin' " grandfather. Others supporting Mr. Woolley (Gramps) will be: Melody Lyons as Granny; Nancy Ewart and Julia Haley as Marcia Giles; and Staeia Haley and Kay Hellman as Demetria Riffle. To learn the conclusion of "On Borrowed Time," attend one of the public performances, which wilt be presented on March 8, 9 fashion is a bit annoyed at being and 10 at 8 p.m. in the Reed sent up a tree.
