He is one of the world's premier solo mandolin vir- tuosos, tabbed by guitar leg- end Chet Atkins as "one of the few great musicians of our time." His recognizable ap- proach to solo mando- lin blends classical with strong influences from the Italian and American folk traditions. Whether he's performing at New York's Merkin Hall, on "A Prairie Home Companion with Gar- rison Keillor" or as a fea- tured soloist at Disneyland, Marshall is in high demand as a performer. His bass lines, chords, rhapsodic runs and tremolo melodies have been show- cased on five solo CDs, and Marshall has been a fea- tured guest artist in pops concerts with many sym- phony orchestras, includ- ing Houston, Phoenix, Long Beach, Grand Rapids, San Antonio and Jacksonville. Tickets are $30 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the door or at Lynch Creek Floral. See www.mCCCa.com for more information or call Becky Schuyten at 426-1842 or Larry Swift at 426-8159.
