On the Mason Health campus, what
originated as a patch of grass adjacent
to the hospital is now the completed
Mason Clinic.
New construction is no longer a
graphical rendering, but a multispe-
cialty medical facility with an exten—
sive 'list of Mason Health outpatient
services housed under one roof.
Officially opened to patients Feb.
24, the 60,000-square-foot, two-sto-
ry facility will host most of Mason
Health’s outpatient providers with
the exception of the Hoodsport Family
Clinic, which remains open in its cur-
rent location. Shelton Family Medi-
cine was the first practice to move in
under the Mason Clinic roof, with sev-
eral more to follow in the spring and

A “It’s really all about the patient,”
said Mark Betty, Mason Health Chief
Operating Officer. “And one of the
main motivations for us to want to do
this was because we can expand our
hours here and patients only have to
go to one clinic now.”
With the introduction of the Mason
Clinic, the number of patient exam
rooms has increased throughout the
Mason Health system from“ 71 to 110.
About 25% of the clinic’s lower floor
was intentionally left undeveloped to
allow for possible future expansions
and additional specialties. Coincid-
ing- with the Mason Clinic construc—
tion, Mason Health recruited 14 new
providers who will join the team by
the and July. These providers include
family physicians, pediatricians, po-
diatrists and mental health providers.

two X-ray rooms and expanded labora-
