Deanna Marilyn Lacey 1938 -‘ 2022 Deanna Marilyn Lacey died peacefully in her sleep January 15, 2022, ' at her home. \ 9 She was born July 30, 1938, to Minor S. Lynch andElsie L. Lynch in Seattle, WA. Raised in Seattle, Deanna attended Leshi Elementay Schools, Nathan Eckstien Junior High, Roosevelt High School, and Spo- kane Falls Community College and the University of Washington. Deanna married Jack S. Holbrook, father of her three children (1960- 1970) also married Robert L. Lacey (1970 until his passing in 2006). Her diverse employment history included Department Store clerk, Avon Rep., office clerk, bookkeeper/accountant, partner of Lake Cush- men Resort, owner of Lou’s Meats & Deli in Hoodsport, tavern/restau- rant owner of QuarterDeck. Tavern and QuarterDeck Gallery in Union, WA and in Shelton, WA. She was a Corrections Officer at Shelton Cor- rectional Facility from 1986 until her retirement inl2003. Deanna’s favorite interests were Wo0d carving, singing, cooking, and traveling, her favorite destinations were Greece and Mexico. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi (Seattle, -WA State), Officers Wives Club (Subic‘Bay, Phillipines), Olympia Wood Carders, New Community Church of Union, WA, Praise band member and Anna’s Bay Chorale. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Joanne F. Reese and William Reese, and survived by her three sons; Scott R. Holbrook of Bonney Lake, WA, Douglas J. Holbrook of Las Ve— gas, NV, Bradley A. Hblbrook of Fruita, CO, and four grandchildren; Chase, Derek, Tyler and Alexis. . Jacqueline Mae Mohr Jacqueline “Jackie” Mae Mohr, 73, of Shelton, WA passed away on» February 26, 2022, with family by her side. She was born to the late Floyd and Alberta Warner on July 21, 1948, in Myrtle Beach, OR. She was united in mar- riage to Gary. Joseph Mohr on September 23, 1967, in Falen, NV. She had five children. She was a military wife for 23 years; she was a devoted stay at home mom. After rais- ing her children she sought ‘ a career as a CNA at Firlaneh Terrace for over 20 years. She retired in 2009 to spend time ‘ with her husband and family. Jackie is survived by her three daughters, Tami (Don) '. c Putvin of Shelton, WA, Shan- non Mohr of Shelton, WA, and Kathleen (Rich) Ryals of Lake City, IA. Along with 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren, brothers, Kelly Warner and Andy Warner, sisters Shirley Allen, Mickey Wishon, Lola'Bennett, and Patty Boxburger. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary J. Moh‘r, Sr. (2016), her sons, Gary J. Mohr, Jr. (2016) Kelly E. Mohr (1969), her parents ' and three brothers. ‘ ' , . ,, . Washington Hospital in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 80. Judy was born to Alanand Vir- , ginia Slack in February of 1941. She was born and lived in Lewis County all her childhood. She is preceded in death by her sisters Barbara Jean and Dorothy Lee. Judy was also preceded in death by her husband, c. Philip Brown. They shared 58 wonder- ful years together. They are both survived by their four daughters, Sandra Brown, Cheryl Rogerson, Susanne Bareikman and Laura Head (Benny). They also had six grandchildren, Jesse, Kristina, Alicia, Jason, Andrew and Nicole as well as six great grandchildren Addison, Landen, Logan, Aaliyah, J aylee, and Nolan. ' , Judy’s family moved from Washington to a farm in rural'Ohio. Af- ter living the farm life for several years they decided they missed the Washington Coast and packed up the four girls and all of their be- longings for the trek to Washington State Where they would live out their years. Judy’s love of the beach and seafood came from her fam- ily’s campouts at the beach picking clams, oysters, geoducks fishing for crab, shrimp, salmon and halibut. They passed this 10% of fishing and camping to her daughters who loved the outdoors as well. ’ Judy had several jobs that eventuallyended with her retirement I from the Washington State Patrol Academy. The first job she had in Shelton, WA was preparing Chicken and Jo’s at the Infamous Bob’s Tavern. She eventually went to school and received her nutritiOn edu- cation in Tacoma, WA and was very happy working at the Patrol Acad- emy serving all the young officers in training. ' Judy loved sports like playing women’s volleyball at the Bordeaux school and bowling. She was an, avid Mariners fan. , After hernést was empty, Judy and Philip went on a cross country trip in their RV, seeing places they’ve always wanted to see and visit- ing family and friends around the country that they hadn’t seen for many years. From Montana to Ohio, to Arkansas, and Texas to Ari- zona and San Diego, it was the trip of a lifetime for them. , After Judy lost her husband, she'spent a lot of time at the Senior Center and made many new friends there. She loved playing Pinochle, and Bingo and she enjoyed socializing. She met her best friend Leona there. She and Leona became great friends and they subscribed to the Mason County Concert Association and other groups that offered trips lets, andone of the great highlights was seeing Kenny "G perform. Leo- na described Judy as being a true friend Judy also liked to knit and crochet. She was a fantastic cook and did many Valentine Dinners for the Shelton United Methodist Church as well as summer Bible camp meals. She was always up for keeping the freezer at the church well stocked with cookies. I . . ‘ There will be a Celebration of .
