rest of the season.
"I think that helped us a lot,"
Friesen said. "They'll probably
be back together again."
Senior Sebastian Gaspar
had six shot attempts in the
game and two sailed over the
net and through the football
uprights.
While Friesen said he wants
Gaspar to shoot, he is going to
work with him on looking at
all options before taking a shot
on goal.
"I'm just glad he's [Gaspar]
in the right position and creat-
ing opportunities for himself,"
Friesen said. "He's going to
score a lot of goals for us."

Martha Music, a return-
ing North Mason High
School boys and girls golf
coach, is not only excited
about the upcoming season,
but for the chance to coach
with her husband, Ron, in
2011.
Ron Music took over for
Mike Gastineau, who had
to leave due to an injury,
according to Martha Music.
"We're both happy to
coach together," Martha
Music said. "This is one of
my dreams, to coach the
younger generation how to
golf."
The boys team finished
with a record of 0-10, while
the girls finished with one
win. But Martha Music
said the returning six golf-
ers have improved.
"The ones who are re-
turning are so much better
than last year," she said.
Senior Blake Eddy, ju-
nior Michael Wiseman and
sophomores Cody Vander-
sluis and Derek Laaksonen
return for North Mason's
boys team.
The two returning golf-
ers for the girls are senior
Sarah Mundell and sopho-
more Victoria Effray.
Each of the teams also
have talented freshmen en-
tering the program.
"Three of the four fresh-
men [girls] are coming in
and playing well," Martha
Music said, noting two out
of the three freshmen boys
are entering with potential.
"I feel like this year,
we're going to have more
wins for both the boys and
the girls," she continued.
"Both Ron and I are excited
for our teams."
In addition to the fresh-
men class, the boys team
has four sophomores and
the girls have three.
"We're a new team with
new blood and we're excit-
ed," Martha Music said.
Even though tle weather
has not been perfect for the
North Mason golf program,
Martha Music said the golf-
ers have been enthusiastic
through the pouring rain
and cold.
"They will actually go
out in the pouring rain and
go to the driving range,"
she said about the team
after practice is made op-
tional or canceled.
North Mason's golf pro-
gram will also take the
course with equipment
supplied by community
members.
"All our golf bags were
donated by the men's and
ladies' golf clubs at Lake-
Land Village," Martha Mu-
sic said.
The golf bags have a to-
tal value of $1,200.
