Helga Mattaini At 11 a.m. today a funeral will be held in Stokes Mortuary, Renton, for Helga Mattaini of Shelton, 86, who died Monday. Born in Norway on June 19, 1888, Mrs. Mattaini came to the Kent area in 1909, moving to Maple Valley in 1913. She had resided in Shelton from 1960 until two months ago when she went to Renton. She was the widow of Charles, who died in Shelton in 1962. Mrs. Mattaini is survived by a son, Chades, of Renton; a daughter, Muriel Bostwick of Shelton; a sister in Norway; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Renton. Robert Swearingen A funeral was held at 2 p.m. on March 8 in Mt. View Valley Chapel, Tacoma, for Robert E. Swearingen of Route 10, Box 471, Shelton, who died March 6. Burial was in Mt. View Memorial Park.• Mr. Swearingen, 73, was born January 25, 1902 in Pond Run, Ohio. He had made his home in Shelton for several years and was a member of the local Assembly of God Church. Surviving him are his wife, Rose Swearingen, of the family home; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Lois) Tibbits of Shelton and Doris Reed of Tacoma; two sons, Robert of Lodi, California, and Darrell of Tacoma; three brothers, Ernest of Olympia, Roy of Ohio and Aldelbert of Ohio; a sister, Loa Shaffer of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brinnon Community Church for Frances Ethel Nelson who died Saturday in Port Townsend. The Reverend Arnold Dalke officiated. Mrs. Nelson was born August 11, 1882 in Forsyth, Montana and had lived in Brirmon since 1921. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Quilcene and also of Rebekah Lodge. She was a charter member of the Brinnon Booster Club.
