"When the purchase is actually completed, the se- nior center would be pay- ing the fair market value less a 7 percent discount because we would not be listing the property with a realtor," PUD manager Wyla Wood said. "As far as we know all of the hurdles have been passed to get this going." Wood said that authoriz- ing the option to purchase allows the MCSAA to begin fundraising more actively for the project. "I'm pretty satisfied with how we've moved forward with this ~nd I think it's an excellent opportunity for the senior center to help all of the seniors in mason county but also to get fair market value for a public property," commissioner Tom Farmer said.
