FINNISH-BORN WILLIAM KRONQUIST, turned 92 on
March 28, celebrated at the Shelton Referral Center on
Friday with friends. Mr. Kronquist, who retired in 1952,
began working at Simpson's Camp I in 1899.

problems class went to Olympia
to see the Daily Olympian
newspaper and KGY radio.
March 12 the seventh and
eighth graders elected Patsy
Crabtree for the eighth grade
princess of Mary M Knight.
MMK has a new mechanic and
maintenance man. His name is
Peter Mak. He was born in
as follows, Hans, in the seventh
grade, Milanda, in the fifth grade,
and Anna Maria, in the third
grade.
March 16 there was no school
because of teachers' day.
March 24 the girls' league had
a dance and a dinner for the
basketball players and their dates.
The week of April 1 MMK is
on spring vacation.
Community concert drive
follows kick-off dinner
The membership drive for
Community Concerts, which
began Monday, is a two-week
effort by dedicated members to
offer membership to all in the
community who desire it. The
first week of April is renewal
week to enable current season
ticket holders to secure
membership for next season.
Following a kick-off droner
for campaign workers on April 8
the week of April O to 14 is the
drive for signing new members.
Three concerts to be
presented during the coming
season offer variety and grand
entertainment for Mason County
concert-goers.
Already scheduled arc John
Arnold Ford's Opera Theatre
presenting "'Tile Barbez of
Seville" and The Orpheus Trio, a
combination of flute, viola and
harp. Tire third concert will be
chosen after the campaign.
